SUPPLY & DEMANDThis is the story of a mission to the Red Planet. An adventure. A program. A simulation designed to explore an altered universe, to prepare us for life under different conditions and circumstances, and to project us into an experience we must be ready to face—perhaps sooner than we think. RPL3009 connects us to the short-term memory of a rover, tirelessly searching for life on the Red Planet yet trapped in an endless loop of exploration.
This rover will be our guide, lending us its eyes, leading us through the landscape, revealing an unfamiliar nature, and sharing its experience.he story begins as a rover mission exploring an alien planet, but gradually reveals a darker truth: the simulation reflects Earth’s possible future. The real subject isn’t space exploration, but humanity confronting its own (planetary) collapse.
